How to open a Bank Account
So I was using Bank of America for years until someone told me about Mercury. Now I use it for all of my businesses and… I do have to say… It’s friggin amazing. This is how banking should be! Easy to use. It’s a complete 180 from BofA.
Some of my favorite things about Mercury:
- No monthly fees
- A dropdown to easily switch between your companies (no logging in/out - amazing)
- You can have as many checking accounts, or “buckets” as I call them. For example in a couple clicks you can set up a “Payroll bucket”, “Inventory bucket” and “Profit bucket” for easy accounting. You can transfer cash between them in 1 click.
- You can set up auto-transfer rules between accounts, for example, you can set it up where 10% of all incoming funds automatically gets put into your Profit Bucket.
- Easily add team members
- Assign team members debit cards with custom limits in 1 minute.
All you need to sign up is a business / LLC.
