How to Increase Amazon Sales Using the Trifecta Method

You are here because you want increased Amazon sales. In this blog, I'm going to show you exactly how to do that in the simplest way you've ever seen. So, whether you're in launch phase or you've been on Amazon for a while and you're experiencing slow sales, want to get more sales and be more profitable, I'm going to break down this Amazon funnel which I've created called the Trifecta Method.

It’s going to give you more clarity about what to do on Amazon and what's important than you've ever seen before. Also, I'm going to show you my simple six-step process to rank faster, rank higher, get more sales, and be more profitable. By the end of this, you're going to have crystal clear clarity and a step-by-step game plan.

The Trifecta Method Amazon Funnel

This is what I call the Trifecta Method Amazon Funnel. I've showed this to brands and they literally told me, "Wow, I didn't know a lot about Amazon, but this makes it absolutely clear. I've never been more clear on how Amazon works."

Just like any business, Amazon is a sales funnel. And at the end of the day, Amazon is just a search engine. The whole point is just to get your products ranked organically at the top of page one for your target keywords. Think of it just like Google.

Just like Google, 70% of the clicks and sales happen in the top 10–20. That's why the rule of thumb is: if you do not have any top 20 organic rankings, that’s exactly why you're not selling.

Amazon starts with 180 million Prime subscribers typing in search terms. That’s the search volume. Then your product gets views via SEO (organic) or PPC (paid). Based on your click-through rate, people go to your listing. Based on your conversion rate, you get a sale or they bounce and you retarget them.

What You Need to Optimize (SEO, PPC, CRO, CTR)

These are the three things in green you need to optimize:

  • SEO

  • PPC

  • CRO

  • (And CTR)

It starts with the search volume at the top of the funnel. Small search volume = low sales potential. Big search volume = massive potential.

You ideally want most of your impressions from organic, because if you rely only on ads, you're never going to be highly profitable.

What affects CTR on the search page?

Shoppers can only see:

  • Main image

  • Review count and rating

  • Price and coupon

  • Title

Optimize these → CTR goes up.

What affects conversion rate on your listing?

Once they click in, shoppers see:

  • Gallery images

  • Premium A+

  • Reviews

  • Videos

  • Storefront

Optimize these → conversion goes up → sales go up.

These are the only things you need to pay attention to as a business owner. Send this to your team if they’re not focusing on this stuff.

If you haven’t split-tested your main image, that’s one of the first things you should do.

Why You Need All Three (Not Just PPC)

Most agencies are stuck on PPC. Maybe SEO. But to be highly profitable, you have to nail all three.

If you do nail all three and you have high search volume, the potential for high sales is huge — Celsius doing $7M a month, AG1 doing $2M a month.

That’s why it’s so critical to optimize every piece of the funnel. Because if you don’t, your competitors will.

STEP 1 — CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization)

CRO is critical because it makes no sense to spend money on ads if your listing is shitty. Your mission is 10 out of 10 optimized listings.

If you're not 10/10, you're not going to make it in today’s ultra competitive marketplace.

Million-Dollar Branding

If you don’t have million-dollar branding, you’ll never be a million-dollar brand.

Photo Shoot

You will not be a million-dollar brand without a professional photo shoot. AI photo shoots are fine temporarily, but if you're a serious brand, get a real life shoot. Your photography is the bedrock of your brand.


Listing Design

Make sure your Amazon page is designed by an Amazon listing design expert. No Fiverr. No guessing.

Comparison Chart

Amazon is a comparison marketplace. Make your own comparison chart. Blur logos. Make it idiot-proof.

Video Creation

If you don’t have a video, record a simple “meet the product” video on your phone. Explain the product, why it’s great, why competitors suck, and why you made it. Put that on your listing.

Storefront

Make sure your storefront looks like a million-dollar storefront.

STEP 2 — Reviews (30 Reviews in 30 Days)

Your mission: 30 reviews in the first 30 days.

Vine Before Launch

Enroll in Vine before your product is public. Wait for ~10 reviews, then activate launch. Now you can start ads on day one with reviews.

Request Review Automation

Turn on review request automation using Jungle Scout or Helium 10.

Insert Cards

If you’re a supplements/consumables brand, use an insert card.

You can use:

  • My free templates

  • Canva templates

  • Amazing Creative for custom design

More discount = more scans.

GetReviews.ai

Makes leaving feedback and (optionally) leaving an Amazon review extremely easy. Two taps. Opens the review page inside the Amazon app.

Product Tester Sites

Tools like fbreviews.com (gray area) let testers leave feedback and optional Amazon reviews. Not guaranteed 5 stars — they’re honest. (Use coupon code: fba-rev-save10 for a discount)

STEP 3 — SEO (Organic Rank)

This pillar needs the same weight and depth as CRO and Reviews, so here it is fully expanded using your words only.

SEO is a very critical pillar because if you do not have good SEO/organic rank, then you simply will not be profitable.

Your mission is to be on page one, ideally top 20 or top 10. If you're not, you're not going to be highly profitable because that’s where most sales happen.

How SEO Actually Works

If you do all of the other steps in this blog, then you will naturally rank high because the Amazon ranking algorithm is based on:

  • Conversion rate

  • 180-day sales history

Optimize your conversion rate, CTR, and traffic → you will naturally rank high because Amazon just tries to show shoppers the best option for the keyword they typed in.

Step One: Front-End and Back-End Keywords

Not rocket science. Make sure you have the important ones. Use Helium 10.

Step Two: Build Sales + Reviews

What I tell brands is:

Year one is construction year.

You are building your Amazon real estate. Focus on your organic rank by building up your sales velocity and reviews.

Step Three: Monitor + Adjust

Use Helium 10 or Jungle Scout to track organic rankings. You don’t need both; I use both because I’m an Amazon nerd.

Organic rank is your holy grail.

STEP 4 — Ads (PPC)

Your mission again is to buy sales in launch phase so you can rank as high as possible, as fast as possible.

Think of your advertising as a tool to boost organic rank. Organic rank is what will make you profitable. Ads are just a tool to boost organic visibility.

If you're relying on ads to make sales, you're just not going to be profitable.

Step One: Budget

To keep it plain and simple, start with $100/day as a test. You’ll quickly know if you should raise or lower it.

Step Two: The TTA Method

Test → Track → Adjust.

Marketing is test, test, test. Keep what’s best.

Make sure your ads are managed by an Amazon ads professional.

Step Three: Secret Weapon — Video Ads

Video ads are a game changer. I’ve seen this strategy nearly double sales overnight.

My Billboard Method video ads work because they're:

  • Stupid simple

  • Just a moving billboard

  • A big headline + product image

  • Easy to make in Canva

You just need to grab attention, get them to click play, then click into the listing. The product page does the selling.

STEP 5 — Price

Your mission in launch phase is to get as many sales as possible.

Step One: Price As Low As You Can

Usually 20–50% off.

This depends on:

  • Retail stores

  • MAP policy

  • Cash flow

  • Inventory

  • Other channels

We figure this out on onboarding.

Step Two: Subscribe & Save Coupons

Subscribe & Save (S&S) coupons are extremely powerful. This is one of the best features Amazon has.

You’ll see brands offering 20%, 30%, even 40% off first S&S order.

We launched a supplement to page one extremely fast, using a 40% off S&S coupon at launch.

Step Three: Test Weekly

Just like PPC — test, test, test.

Your two knobs:

  • Price

  • Ad spend

Year 1: Build reviews + rank.

Year 2: If you're not in the red, that's awesome. Supplements and CPG have high LTV → brands invest heavily in acquiring that first customer.

STEP 6 — External Traffic

Your mission is to drive tons of sales to skyrocket your rank.

Sometimes ads alone won’t get you into the top 20.

Free Traffic

Let your:

  • Email list

  • Social followers

know you launched on Amazon.

Paid Traffic

  • Facebook/Instagram ads

  • TikTok ads

  • Influencers

Giveaways (Fastest & Easiest Method)

In my opinion, the easiest, fastest, most cost-effective way to drive external traffic is to list your product on a giveaway site.

For example, Rebaid (not sponsored).

Sellers list products for 80–100% off.

Shoppers buy full price on Amazon → algorithm sees full-price sales → boosts ranking.

Rebaid sends the rebate 30 days later, so they can’t return it.

This can be very powerful.
